GEORGE W. LACHENMAYER, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side.
He was predeceased by his parents, L. George and Florence Lachenmayer: and by his sisters, Sandra Hipko and Joyce Dey. George is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kim Racz Lachenmayer; and their two children, Dana Lachenmayer of NY, and son Andrew (Drew) Lachenmayer and his wife, Dana Marie of Freehold. Also surviving is his daughter, Leza Jordan of PA and son, Timothy Lachenmayer of FL, and a beautiful granddaughter Sloane Marie; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
George was a proud United States veteran serving in the Army.
He worked for many years in corporate construction. For the last several years he worked for Midwest Construction, Southampton, NJ.
George was a volunteer with the Edison Rescue Squad with his father, and a volunteer firefighter with East Brunswick fire department. He volunteered coaching several sports, including softball with East Brunswick Recreation Department, and Monroe Twp. and West Windsor Pop Warner football programs.
George was an active member at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Ocean Grove, NJ
A memorial service will be offered for George on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 10AM at the Ocean Grove Boardwalk Pavilion, Ocean Ave., Ocean Grove, NJ 07756. Arrangements are under the care of the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd. Jackson Twp., NJ 08527.
